To select mode(s), click on the appropriate mode-toggle button(s) before clicking on a difficulty button. (For example, click on 'Diamond Mode On/Off' to select Diamond Mode. Click on it again to remove that mode setting. The default mode is Standard.)

Clicking on a difficulty button will start the game. You will be prompted to click 'OK' and wait. To avoid glitches, click on 'OK' as soon as the box pops up. If the game will not let you continue, chances are a box is hidden. To fix this, minimize your browser window, then pull the window back up to make the box reappear.

When you win or get Game Over, the dig squares will gray out. When this happens, refresh/reload the page to restart the game. If you are playing this game on Linux, please make sure to wait to refresh until all of the dig squares gray out before you refresh.
